Aloe Vera Hand Sanitizer:
Eco-friendly hand sanitizer? Sign us up. A lot of hand sanitizers have unnecessary chemicals that not only dry out your skin but can be rough on our environment. This is our go-to one-step recipe for ideal earth-friendly, skin-friendly, and germ-fighting strength.
- 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol (60% minimum alcohol content)
- 1/3 cup pure aloe vera
- 5-10 drops of essential oil (optional)
- Mixing bowl
- Two-ounce empty spray bottle or liquid soap container
- Masking tape and pen or marker for labeling the container (or adhesive labels)
In a bowl, stir the rubbing alcohol and the aloe vera together. Be sure to mix well. Add several drops of scented oils for an “oh-so-fresh” scent.
That’s it! Fill it into a reusable pump bottle (even an old soap dispenser will do) and start rubbing those hands!
Easy Scented All-Purpose Cleaners
We all know that keeping surfaces clean is a great way to combat this virus and keep yourself and others around you safe and healthy! This one-step cleaner is perfect to toss into the leftover spray bottles you have underneath your sink (it’s okay to admit it, we all have them). You can scent this awesome all-purpose cleaner with your favorite essential oils for a fresh boost.
- Reusable spray bottle
- Alcohol (70% or higher)
- Essential oils (optional, but recommended!)
Heads up, If you already have 70% isopropyl alcohol, then you don’t need to mix any water in. Just pour the solution into a spray bottle and add a few drops of scented oils for preference, give it a shake, and clean away!
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1 cup of 91% Isopropyl alcohol
- Scented oils (optional)
This is a great option if you have 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol. By mixing 1 cup of isopropyl and 1/3 cup of water, you will get a 70% alcohol solution. Add those essential oils, give it a shake to combine, and start to clean!
